Directly across the existing emergency hospital, the AUVA is constructing a new branch including offices, training rooms, a small laboratory and an examination room with a waiting area and staff cloakrooms in a three-storey, partly planted building of approx. 1.981 m2 GFA (ground, 1st and 2nd floors), approx. 1.369 m2 of storage and utility rooms and a garage for cars and motorcycles. Across Waidmannsdorfer Straße, the construction will be connected via a glass-concrete bridge with the emergency hospital.
- East, south and west facades shall be covered with a highly insulated, anodized aluminium rib mesh.
- The inclined north and northwest facades as well as the flat roof shall be extensively greened (with sedum plants, lichens, moss and ornamental grass), the garage roof shall be intensively greened (with plane trees in the front yard and Norway maple in three garage openings in the garden).
- A high „Green-Building-Standard“ according to the „Green-Building-Programme“ of the EU shall be reached.
